Always been my favorite Thai food for many many years. Last time I went we had a bad experience observing the sushi prep guy eating with his gloved hand while making sushi for customers. Didn't change his gloves between making dishes or sitting down to eat his dinner, or to eat from the prep area. Pad Thai was very sweet, no heat, and we usually get a small salad with our meals, but not this time. I have gotten take out a few times since then, and will give them another chance in the dining room soon. I hope things go back to the way they were. I bragged about this place to anyone who had ears for over 15 years.

I love to eat here when I am in the area, especially lunch time. The price is right for lunch and the food is good. I especially love the Panang Curry and the Pad Thai. Pad Thai is not always good at many Thai restaurants I have been to because they get the ratios wrong on the fish sauce. Orchid Thai does it right. The establishment is small and the atmosphere feels more like a lunch place than a dinner. Be careful when you order spicy, medium is even VERY spicy. I recommend spice just be careful how you order it.

Tonight, after a hideous day, I just needed some comfort food, and Orchid's was on the menu. The maternal unit, the husbeast and myself headed the handful of blocks from Mom's place to their store front, only to find them packed! We only waited a little bit of time as they cleaned up a table and sat us. Our waitress was amazing, she took our order, looking rather shocked when my husband ordered his meal Thai Hot. Seriously, he means it. He wants to cry and sweat when he eats his soup. Me, i can't handle it... but I digress, she put the order in and brought out the pepper tray too. I ordered the Chicken Sateh, Mom ordered the Sampler platter and the Husbeast ordered the Noodle soup with beef and meatballs, we had an order of fried rice for the table. Everything was absolutely fresh and delicious. The food came out quick and hot and nothing was left on our plates in the end. If you like Thai desserts, I suggest you try the Mango Sticky Rice. It's Delicious!

My family and I like the food. Everything seems freshly cooked. Two of us are vegetarians, and they have plenty of dishes to accommodate us.

Wonderfully innovative Thai food! My husband had a Pad Pumpkin dish that was fabulous; a friend had a sushi plate that was beautifully presented and very tasty. The Tom kha gai soup I had as an appetizer was authentic and wonderfully seasoned. Be careful of asking for more spice, though. I asked for 6-7/10 and was served the hottest pad Thai I've ever eaten. This was our 3rd visit.

We are visiting & read the other reviews, so we tried it. My husband & I both thought our meal was delicious ( he had chicken basil, I had drunken noodles). Unusual for us was asking h.ow mild or spicy we wanted it. The restaurant was nicely done, prices were normal, but the best part was the service!!! We will go back every time we come down here

I love Thai food. This pace is small, very nice, the food is really good. They will make it as spicy as you like ..or as mild. Panang Curry Chicken, is great! The staff is very nice too.

This is another little 'mom & pop" shop that is wonderful. The interior is beautiful, with traditional Thai decor and style. The food comes fresh and hot usually artfully arranged on the plate. The service is very detailed. They make sure you are taken care of! The prices are very good. If you are up in this area, it is worth stopping in for a great meal.

Good food, OK service. They can get crowded. It's nice to go for a quite meal, though if you are looking for a place to "have a good time" and a meal, might want to check someplace else out. Overall though, good stuff.

My husband and I have been to this Thai restaurant many many times. Their food has been consistent in quality. Their attention to little details like fresh flower in a basin at the door and in the lady's room definitely is good sign. My favorite is their curry dishes. Very very authentic.

I've been going here for 7 years. I've always had a good experience. The food is delicious and I've never been disappointed! I love the Thai iced tea, chicken curry and their salads. My family loves going here as well. It's a small restaurant that is well decorated, well kept and clean. most of the time I order and pick up and take it home. When we do eat here it's a quiet & nice experience. The employees are very friendly and they know us by name. They are so nice to my daughter, she enjoys going there too. This is one of my favorite places.

Stopped by for a quick lunch before a hearing at the nearby courthouse. There's a good variety of lunch specials to choose from. I tried the beef pad Thai. It was solid but not spectacular. I ordered mine extra spicy and it delivered on that front. The portion was a bit small but not surprising considering it was the lunch special portion. The soup and salad that comes with the special was a nice touch. The salad came with a tasty dressing. I would try it again if I'm in town for another hearing or trial.

This is a very small restaurant and I have been here late on Friday evening but I'm sure if I got here earlier I'd have to wait. The wait staff is lovely and friendly. The decor is typical Thai with music playing in the background. The food is always fresh with great care in preparation. The Hurricane Chicken is exceptional and I have never had a bad meal here. You can also request dishes be made hotter if you so desire. If I lived closer I'd eat here everyday!

I eat here weekly. I cannot say enough good things about orchids Thai. My fave dishes are the Lad Na, fried rice and peanut sauce chicken. The pan fried dumplings are exquisite. My hubby like the beef and mushroom with steamed brown rice. I wish I could live here. It is a beautiful restaurant with excellent service. The take out is great as well. Lunch specials are priced great.

Have been eating on & off here for years . Whenever someone is staying at a hotel nearby this great little intimate eatery and are from out of town, we will go there. Why? it is the best outside of our own local Tommy's Thai Nana in Palm Harbor on Alt 19 ............. Orchids Thai has had a five star rating as far as we are concerned for years. Every thing on the menu is A1 Quality. Especially their Spring roll transparent white rice paper that has Shrimp & veggies in it. Yum The Staff and management are first class. If this place were located in a upper class neighborhood you might pay two or more times what they now charge. HIGHLY recommended . Thanks

Small family restaurant in strip shopping center with great food and service. Large selection on menu. Artfully decorated. I had the Panang Chicken and my wife had another panang chicken dish with prawns that was huge. Leftover will be lunch for a lucky person tomorrow. We spent $30 before the tip. Both my wife and I will be back.

Called to order lunch for delivery; I'm staying in town without a car. At first, they said delivery orders had to be $25 or more. Then called me right back to say they'd make an exception. Delivered my food quickly afterward. Awesome service. Delicious shrimp pad thai, too!

The worst people in the world are people who don't like Orchids Thai. One of two tied restaurants that serve as my favorite in my home county, Orchids Thai is the best Thai and sushi in town. Aromatic and inviting, a comfort food that gets me feeling good no matter how I'm feeling, this is the ultimate ethnic experience for those who live in this area. I compare all Thai recipes to theirs, and my god, it's wonderful. Green curry, red curry, pad thai, fried rice, tuna and avocado salad, roast duck, soft shell crab, drunken noodles, prig khig, peanut sauce... my god, it's all so amazing. Curry puffs, crab rangoons, the best spring rolls and Tom-Kha. I love the hell out of this place and always will.

Was visiting for work and discovered this gem behind Publix. The interior is clean, well decorated, has low, ambient traditional music in the background, cloth napkins (always a good sign), and excellent, attentive staff. I was pleased with a large bowl of vegetarian soup one night while I was sick and returned the next day for the Pumpkin Curry special (with tofu/veg). The waiter remembered me and asked how I was feeling; a pleasant surprise as a transient in town for the work week. Tea was served in an individual-sized teapot. The prices are affordable and well worth the return! I would eat here regularly if I were a local...enjoy Port Richey!

I love this place! Amazing food and awesome service. The lunch soups are incredible; I'll especially the chicken and duck ones. The staff is so friendly and always so warm in greeting you. The quality of the food is so fresh and the summer rolls are awesome. I also like how you can adjust the spice of any dish even if you're like me and want it to be ridiculously spicy. I eat here at least once a week
